2002 Notable Projects and Highlights (Partial listing)
  • Laser collage, ‘MARTIN: Prince of Peace‘ is published in the recent 2002 catalog/ book by Verve Editions for the landmark traveling exhibition “ In The Spirit of Martin: The Living Legacy of Martin Luther King “ currently showing in Miami, Florida at the Bass Museum. The original collage will go into the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution / Washington DC or the Montgomery, Museum of Art / Montgomery, Alabama in 2004.
     

  • Commissioned to design a 36” X 36” silk border scarf for the Nicole Miller / Harlem Jazz & Music Festival collection. Ademola’s scarf design and designs by noted artist Grace Williams, were unveiled at the renown fashion designer’s 7th Avenue showroom on June 19, 2002. At this special Celebrity Reception, the artist was interviewed by 1010 WINS radio and broadcast the following morning to their vast Metro New York listening audience. Framed versions of the scarf's were also displayed in the lobby areas of several NY Shorewood Hotels such as The New York Sheraton, The W hotel and others during July and August.
     

  • The popular I LOVE NY television ad campaign recently filmed the artist at his studio as part of a “Visit Harlem Week” commercial that aired nationally in late July and throughout August 2002.
     

  • Commissioned by The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce to design 2001- 2002 special awards for prominent individuals, institutions and inductees to: The National Black Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame & Museum.
     

  • Ademola is featured in large screen projection narrating his views of the Harlem experience as part of the hit musical ‘HARLEM SONG ‘ by famed playwright and director George C. Wolfe, currently playing to enthusiastic audiences at the Apollo Theater. Included in two prestigious publications Who’s Who among African Americans and Directory of American
    Scholars published by the Michigan based Gale Group for international distribution in fall-winter 2002-2003.
